Arsinoitherium comes from Skull Island and even on Skull island was a strange occurrence, a mammal from 30 million years ago, living to the modern day and in a place where it was mostly Dinosaurs and reptiles, and even after Skull Island sank and it was moved to Monster Island, Stranger still is how it even made its way to Skull Island, The closest fossil being found in South eastern Asia and Skull island being closer to New Guinea than anything.

In the 1940's as Skull Island fell into the ocean, Arsinoitherium Kongi as it was later named, had survived simply because of its adaptions to life underwater, similar to hippos or even still, dugongs. Within months of Skull Islands collapse, the whole surviving Arsino species was collected by American ships, Arsinoitherium was part of the mid herbivore release on Monster island after some study of the species and check for diseases. In a few months time the whole population would be released to the North eastern mangroves of Monster Island by boat.

Arsinoitherium adapted well to Monster islands eastern mangroves. Like most Mangroves, M0nster island mangroves are adapted to the lowering and rising of the tide, Mangroves are adapted to live in salt water, evolved to actually filter out 90 percent of salt from the saltwater and some even excreting salts from their leaves. The mangrove are found along the Coastline the North east and mainly consist of a close relative of the White mangrove tree along with 3 other mangrove species, this causes less erosion from storms, waves and tides, this also creates perfect shelter within the Mangrove forests. Sharks, caiman, lizards, small mammals and other creates call them home including the Arsinoitherium.

Arsinoitherium share a close resemblance to rhinos but are actually part of the elephant family but belong to the once thought to be extinct order Embrithopoda and belong in the Tethytheria clade. Stranger still is the fact they live like hippos, spending most of their day in the water. Living separately or sometimes in small groups but hide relatively well as the mangroves create a thick silt in the water when submerged.

Being a large mammal, the population is inclining but are slow to rebuilding. In recent years however the birth rate has shown to be rising do to the bigger and bigger population. Feeding on tough plants and leaves throughout the mangroves, Arsinoitheirum can eat 100 pounds of food a day. During the night some Arsinoitheriums will travel onto land, either finding land or places in the mangroves during low tide to browse on trees and some ground vegetation.

Arsinoitherium like most large animals have a symbiotic relationship with birds and some lizards, feeding on the insects and bloodsuckers on the animals back, same goes for fish when the arsinoitherium is submerged. Not many larger animals feed on arsinoitherium, most sharks and caiman are to small to attack Arsinoitheriums but the rare meeting between large predator such as a wondering V.rex or polar T.rex has happened in the past along with Spino Mimic and Spinosaurus Ingen itself.

Arsinoitherium is well known for their large boney horns that grow on their head, 2 large horns and vestigial horns behind. These exist on both males and females but males are splayed to the side, used for attracting females and fighting against other males this is another trait they share with the rhino. Arsinoitherium emit several guttural sounds along with grunts and whines, Strangely they have a different tone for communication under water, loud but high in pitch to travel in the water.

A truly amazing species of creature.
