Spinosaurus ingens is a genetic hybrid between several theropod dinosaurs, Dimetrodon, komodo dragon and golden eagle. Created in 1996 on Isla Sorna before the hurricane that caused irreparable damage to the cloning facility, spinosaurus roamed free on the island untill it was taken for use in a new theme park before eventual escape along with several other dinosaurs. It was eventually confiscated through legal action and taken too Monster Island where it was released and allowed to explore the environment, eventually settling in the jungle/swamps boarder near the middle of the continent.

In 2017 the Spinosaurus hatched a clutch of fifteen young through parthenogenesis and by 2022 five have survived along with the original specimen. They took too other areas of the swamps and jungles, one individual going as far and taking the Inland Sea as its domain. The large size of the spinosaurus ingens is the key too its success. One of the largest of non kaiju predators on the island and extremely territorial, spinosaurus actually sets out to search for other large predators and destroys them but that is also the reason for why only five out of the fifteen have survived. Top predators killed by the five spinosaurs are V.rex, Polar Tyrannosaurus, Spino mimic and others.

Spinosaurus ingens is colored in dark grey and red coloration, stripes and spotting on the sail assumed use for threat displays and camouflage under the foliage. They also hunt from under deep water, waiting in lurk for prey to come too the waters edge.

Their main diet consists of anything from large fish too large dinosaurs and mammals. The spinosaurus are tagged and watched at all times though generally it is assumed theres no way these animals will be able to breed thus are allowed to roam freely till their natural deaths.
