The Giant gar is the name given to a Giant species of Alligator gar found in Lake Okeechobee in Florida, It adapted to the shallow water of the lake, its stomach dragging in the mud and algee as its top would sti k out, Seagulls and other birds would calmenly ride atop of it. It fead on alligators and athor fish, it was soon doscovered when fishermen where boating to the middle of the lake and dissapearing, over 9 where found in the lake and had to be transported in special tanks over to Monster island where they now live in the tropical fresh water lakes and rivers. Now feeding on fish and Caiman here in Monster island, they also have taken a turn to leaping out of the water when a pray item comes to the edge to drink, they grab with their long jaws and use their powerful fins to drag them and they pray into the water.

They are dark green in color with tan underbellies and black spots on the tail and side. The breeding season of the giant gator gar happen in April to May and the female can lay up to 150 eggs per spawning period some accounts however say they could lay up to 150 thousand, the eggs are bright red and are layed in shallow alge plant filled water near deeper waters were after 3 days of developing would hatch out, feed on insect larvae and grow and grow till they can begin to hunt bigger and bigger pray.

These prehistpric sized and looking fish almost make a perfect existence on the Island.
